What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which is the process of optimization of websites for better rankings on search engine. After registering your site and contents to the search engines and directories. The search engine then crawls webpage’s and indexes the contents of the site into their directories. And when someone submit a query to a search engine, in returns the search engine creates a list of sites and ranking them related to the keywords used in the search engine. The process is called Search Engine Optimization.




By using the SEO technique, site gets traffic and rank higher than the millions of others site from search engines.



Search engine has three major parts:
  1. Crawler
  2. Index, and
  3. Search Engine Software



How search engine works?
Search engines perform many activities in order to deliver search results on web. Below are the details:
  



Crawler is a program the moves on the web for pages, it reads the webpage’s and the page contents. It indexes the information founds. The spider (also called crawler or robot) runs on the web from time to time looking for any updating on pages and contents. Whenever it finds any updates of webpage’s and contents, it updates in the index (also called catalog or database).

When any user enter keywords to search on search engine, the search engine software checks all the index pages to find matching keywords and returns the result on the screen of the user.
